He went on to become a top seller and then moved into sales management. 5 years later he transitioned into Learning and Development. ??As the head of L&D for 3 different multi-national organizations, Art was charged with building training and leadership development initiatives for thousands of employees globally. ??In 1995 he started STR Training & Development, an independent training consultancy. For over 20 years Art designed and delivered training initiatives for clients such as AT&T, Union Pacific Railroad, Time-Warner, Rayovac, Novartis, Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems, Capital One, General Mills, the Minnesota Vikings and many others. ??Having successfully worked in both corporate roles and as an external consultant, Art has a unique perspective of selling, managing, training and consulting. ??After retiring, Art stayed active by teaching at 3 local colleges and started mentoring small business start-ups. In 2020 he founded Minnesota Business Mentors (MBM).

The Southwest Metro Chamber will also be joining the game this date to support Maria's Voice- so there will be lots of good connections!

August is Maria’s Voice Month at the Saints, and every ticket sold helps support Maria’s Voice as they compete for a dedicated fundraising day at the stadium next year. This unique 9-hole tournament adds a fun twist to your typical day on the course because in this game, the winning hand is what counts! Golfers will collect playing cards at all nine holes, and the best poker hand at the end of the round will take home the grand prize. Magnus Veterans Foundation is our annual fundraising event that helps us raise money to provide no-cost health and wellness care to MN veterans and/or their family members. The event includes an open house at Magnus Campus 8:30 AM - 10 AM. Registration and social hour followed by a shotgun start of golfing. there will be games and venders on the course. After golf going us back in the club house for drinks and social hour check out the raffle prizes and silent auction items. Dinner will be served and the evening will close with the raffle drawing and awards and speaks.

Choose a scenic 5K or 10K (run, walk, or bike) on paved trails with beautiful views of the lake and conservation area. Kids can enjoy a fun, non-timed Youth Color Run.
