Digital Print Operator- Blaine, MN
Award Staffing is seeking a Digital Print Operator for the Blaine, MN area. This is a great opportunity for those who want to start a career in the printing industry. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in digital printing and have worked with eco-solvent and UV inkjets. Pre-press setup and knowledge of various medias is a must. Company is willing to train for those who have a desire to learn.  Hours are 2:30pm - 10:30pm Monday through Friday with a starting pay of $14 per hour. 
• Reading and understanding job specifications and designs
• Entering and estimating job timelines into production tracking system
• Organizing jobs for production efficiency and material usage
• Operate vinyl cutter and digital printer to optimal production standards
• Produce vinyl and digitally printed products to customer specifications and quality standards
• Maintain accurate production records
• Load and unload finished products from machines
• Apply first surface and second surface vinyl graphics to various substrates
• Apply over or under laminates to digitally printed materials
• Cut and apply 3D material, bake and ready for paint application
• Organize and maintain a clean department
• Interact with all departments on the production floor to maximize production efficiencies
• Lay out vinyl jobs using Flexi design tool
• Check for accurate spelling, spacing, text type
• Check stock for vinyl needed for specific job
• Group jobs that are using same vinyl for product usage efficiency
• Cut and weed vinyl, apply to various substrates
• Maintain stock of vinyl that is used on a daily basis
• Flexibility to work overtime on evenings and weekends depending upon business needs
• Able to drive company vehicles based on valid driver's license and good driving record

• Strong attention to detail with ability to scale/dimension sizing and excellent spelling
• Knowledge of the digital printing and sign industry
• Strong understanding of Adobe Illustrator print and cut files
• In depth experience with Rip and Print programs -- preferably Versaworks, Flexisign, ICut optical alignment software
• Editing ICC color profiles and PMS color matching -- use of Nazdar color match is plus
• Knowledge of substrates and digital print media
• Operational experience with eco-solvent and UV inkjet printer/plotters -- preferably Roland
• Production and installation of graphics is also required including processing individual orders and batching them for best time management; printing, cutting, laminating and application.
• Prior experience installing/finishing digital prints and vinyls on various substrates including acrylic, banners, vehicle wraps, wall graphics, kiosk/cabinet wraps
