Dr. Gayken's interest in burn surgery began when he was a patient in Hennepin Healthcare's burn unit over 20 years ago while recovering from skin grafting on nearly 40$ of his body. His love for the outdoors began by spending countless time with this father in the north woods throughout childhood. Now as a father of four young kids\, he has a desire to continue those traditions with his own family. "Doc's" name stems from his professional career as a Burn and Trauma surgeon in the Twin Cities. "I have a strong interest in both the acute and long-term psychological outcomes affecting burn paitens and their reintroduction into society. I have found caring for patients who rely on safety-net hospitals particularly rewarding and a special privilege." When he's not at the hospital\, you can find him in a deer stand\, on the lake or watching his daughter's play soccer. Ceder Hills\, for him\, is a way to dig his teeth into nature and conservation\, while at the same time provide an amazing product for his customers to enjoy throughout all four Minnesota seasons. His dream is for his children to help run the business one day. \n\n\n\nMusic provided by Robert Robinson. Robert Robinson is reason to believe that the greatest music reaches every name and crosses every boundary\, from audiences in the Pontiac Silverdome to troops in South Korea.
