DESCRIPTION:Word of Peace Lutheran Church Hosts Mental Health Resource Fair\n\nIn recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month\, Word of Peace will host a Mental Health Resource Fair on Sunday\, May 3\, and a discussion forum after worship on Monday\, May 4. These events\, in collaboration with Thumbs Up for Mental Health\, are designed to raise awareness of local support resources\, foster relationships\, and empower individuals and families.\n\nOn Sunday\, May 3\, community members are invited to explore information from a variety of local mental health organizations in the Word of Peace lobby. Participating organizations represent a wide range of specialties\, including general mental health\, support for veterans\, relationship and gender violence\, grief and child loss\, and seniors. These community-rooted partners bring deep expertise and a shared commitment to accessible\, compassionate care.\n\n\n\nA representative from our partner\, Thumbs Up for Mental Health\, will share brief remarks at the 8:30\, 9:45 and 11 AM worship services on May 3. Word of Peace is proud to support Thumbs Up for Mental Health through this partnership\, and this year\, its confirmation students will support the organization's work with their offerings.\n\nThe event continues on Monday\, May 4\, with the resource fair and a community-wide discussion forum at 7:15 PM. Representatives from participating organizations will join community members in conversation about emotional and mental health experiences and how faith communities can help.
