November Blood Drive
Dale Scherber was very recently diagnosed with Lymphoma and is pursuing treatment in Arizona for the next 6 weeks or so. He is such a kind and good man, I know we’re all praying fervently for his recovery. His grandson-in-law stepped up to run the blood drive this time around and we’ll have cards at the canteen for donors to sign for Dale and write messages to him. They’ll be sent to Arizona when the drive is over. I hope it brightens his day!
Please consider donating blood on the 26th for Dale!
Good afternoon Rogers Community and Knights of Columbus (Rogers/11941) blood donors!
The November blood drive is coming up immediately after Thanksgiving on Saturday November 26th. This blood drive will be located at the Fire Department Community Room. We are looking for 78 blood donors! Memorial Blood Centers expects our need to be quite high following the Thanksgiving holiday and entering the December holiday season. Will you help us make sure we have a safe and stable blood supply for our local hospitals, including Maple Grove Hospital, HCMC, North Memorial, and Children’s Hospitals in both Minneapolis and St. Paul? We would also love to see some new faces at the blood drives! If you know someone who may be interested in donating, please feel free to share this message.
We are trying an online scheduling system this time. The sign up link is below, but feel free to EMAIL me with your preferred time. If you are a double red blood donor, please let me know and I’ll add a note to your appointment time.
Dale Scherber has always been a champion for Memorial Blood Centers and the Rogers community. We are lucky to have such a kind, compassionate person in our corner running stellar blood drive twice yearly. While he is taking care of his health over this blood drive, we want to make sure this is a success in his eyes! Memorial Blood Centers will have cards available at the canteen to write to Dale and wish him well. Please feel free to stop by, even if you’re unable to donate, to write him a note. We’ll make sure he receives all of the well wishes from his beloved donors.
A few reminders for those donating on November 26th:
