Consumer Mortgage Loan Processor
Job Summary of position includes managing in-house and secondary market loan document flow, from early disclosures to closing and funding, to post closing file management. The right person will be comfortable working in a small bank environment where we sometimes wear many hats. They will bring a positive attitude that builds team performance both in the loan department and bank organization.
Job Duties include creating all types of residential loan documents accurately and in a timely manner, ensure compliance with all lending laws and regulations, as well as Bank policies and procedures and order appraisals, title work, credit reports, flood certifications, and other documents as needed.
Help with assisting customers with information related to their loans, monitor customer compliance with insurance requirements and customer property tax payments. Assist lenders and customers in clearing up title issues, provide back-up document support for other types of loans, such as consumer & light commercial and participate in mandatory and optional training opportunities.
Recommend opportunities to improve/streamline existing loan processes, help update lending pipeline reports, assist with early collection of past due credits and report collection activity to Bank management and participate in Bank functions as a team member.
Participate in networking events and organizations in the communities we serve as an ambassador of the bank, with an eye towards business development and perform other assigned duties as required Requirements.
Requirements include NMLS certification (or ability to become certified), Four years of experience processing residential loans, Critical/creative thinking skills and acccuracy & attention to detail. Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision-making skills, and written and verbal communication. Technically skilled in loan document software (experience with Wolters Klewer Compliance One Lending & Doc Magic is preferred), and in bank core software (ASI-Insite bank software experience is preferred).
