Member Advisor - New Accounts / Lending

The Member Advisor 2 in our Albertville Branch is responsible for building relationships with members by assisting with a variety of member service/account functions involving the accurate handling of money, new account applications, resolving account-related problems and assisting in utilizing our products and services based on the member's unique needs. This position provides assistance with CDs, basic HSAs and IRAs, and business accounts as well as processing consumer lending. This high contact position will thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused environment and set SCFCU apart from the competition by making a meaningful difference with members, representing the credit union in a positive and professional manner.

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills: Prior sales/retail or service industry experience. Demonstrated customer service skills and sales attitude. Thorough knowledge of credit union products and services, with emphasis on deposit accounts. Position requires the ability to proactively approach members, identify their needs, and cross-sell credit union products and services. Ability and willingness to continue developing sales, member service, and product/service skills and knowledge is important. Good communication skills are essential.
