Development Operations Coordinator
Position Overview
CROSS Services is seeking a detail-oriented and systems-focused Development Operations Coordinator to support the growth and effectiveness of our fundraising program. This position will oversee the management and optimization of the organization’s donor database, fundraising systems, and development operations.
The Development Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of donor data, supporting fundraising campaigns and events, and providing accurate reporting that informs strategy and decision-making. This position works closely with development, communications, finance, and leadership staff to ensure that fundraising processes run smoothly and donors receive timely, meaningful engagement. They play a key role in strengthening how information flows across the organization, supporting external communications, reporting, and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
Donor Database & CRM Management

Serve as the primary administrator for the Bloomerang CRM and Pantry Saver databases

Maintain data integrity through consistent entry standards, regular audits, and de-duplication

Manage donor records including gifts, pledges, recurring donations, and constituent interactions

Develop and maintain queries, reports, dashboards, and segmentation lists to support fundraising strategy
Gift Processing & Acknowledgment

Oversee timely and accurate processing of all financial contributions, including online, mailed, donor advised fund, and in-kind gifts

Coordinate acknowledgment processes to ensure donors receive prompt and appropriate recognition

Work with Director of Business Operations to reconcile gift records and maintain accurate reporting

Manage and continuously improve processes for gift processing, acknowledgements, and donor recognition
Fundraising Campaign & Event Support

Support development staff with campaign tracking, reporting, and donor segmentation

Assist with event registration management, sponsorship tracking, gambling licenses, thank-you’s and revenue reporting

Provide data and reporting support for initiatives such as Minnesota FoodShare, Give to the Max Day, Open Your Heart to the Hungry, grant support – application and management, annual appeals, and special events

Support the planning and execution of organization’s major fundraising events

Build and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with colleagues, donors, board members, volunteers, and community partners

Participate in team meetings, training courses, and other events as required
Reporting & Analysis

Manage regular fundraising reports for leadership

Track campaign performance and donor engagement metrics

Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and operational efficiency
Systems & Process SOPs

Develop and maintain documentation for development operations procedures

Identify opportunities to improve workflows related to donor data, reporting, and campaign tracking

Support integration and effective use of digital fundraising tools connected to Bloomerang
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus one to three years’ experience

Experience managing a nonprofit donor database, preferably Bloomerang CRM
-
Strong data management and reporting skills

High level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Experience processing gifts and managing donor records

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheets and mail merge documents

Experience supporting fundraising campaigns or special events

Knowledge of donor lifecycle management and fundraising best practices

Experience working in a nonprofit development environment

Compensation
Salary range: $50,000 - $54,000
