You will be well informed after attending this information-packed briefing presented by the Chamber's policy and Grow Minnesota! staff. 2012 Legislative priorities for Minnesota businesses are highlighted and include budget reform, education, engery, environmental permitting, health care and tax reform. In addition, Grow Minnesota! will present an economic recovery update.
5:00 p.m. - Reception
This high-profile reception offers the opportunity to meet and discuss your priority business issues with state policy-makers on the first day of the 2012 Legislative Session.
6:45 p.m. - Opening Address
Governor Mark Dayton has been invited to address our membership and provide the Administrations priorities for the 2012 session.
7:00 - 8:00 p.m. - Dinner
8:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Program
Legislative leaders are back to highlight their priorites for the 2012 Legislative Session and share their views on the major issues facing Minnesota businesses and the economy. Panelists are: Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch (R-Buffalo); Senate Minority Leader Tom Bakk (DFL Cook); Speaker of the House Kurt Zellers (R-Maple Grove); House Minority Leader Paul Thissen (DFL-Minneapolis). This year's panel moderator is member favorite Tom Hauser from Eyewitness News KSTP-TV.
